Clean the grindstone:

Debris and oil on the stone can make it easy to get dirty, so clean it up before using it.

You can put it in water and wash it with an old toothbrush for a few minutes.

Wetting the stone:

Before using the whetstone, in addition to cleaning it, it is necessary to soak the whetstone in water for a few minutes, and then let it dry for a while before using it.

Fixed stone:

When sharpening the knife, we sometimes encounter the situation where the sharpening stone is unstable and shaking.

So before sharpening the knife, put an old towel under the sharpening stone so that it won't shake when sharpening.

oil:

Before using the whetstone, a little oil must be applied to the whetstone.

Oiling helps to clean up the debris on the grindstone and prevent the pores on the grindstone from being blocked by the debris.

It is also easier when sharpening the knife.

(Terrazzo is generally lubricated with water, artificial sharpeners can be used or not)
